Barry Baldwin will saddle up four runners at Eagle Farm on Wednesday while keeping an eye on a promising runner from a rival trainer's yard.

Baldwin's runners include Lock's Legend, Classic Bend, Patent Pending and Bazza's Bid as better weather dries out a Brisbane winter dominated by a string of wet tracks.

Unfortunately for Baldwin, his runners have drawn poor barriers with the exception of Patent Pending's inside draw for Chris Munce in the Ticketek C,G&E Maiden Hcp (1400m).

"I'm looking forward to Wednesday because a few of these horses have dodged the bad weather and a few niggles to be ready to race again," Baldwin said.

"We know that Lock's Legend is a promising horse but he'll have to overcome that gate. He's ready to go again and I'm really interested to see how he performs.

"Bazza's Bid is back after a good break for a two-year-old. He's got plenty of pace and Chris Munce has got to know him well so we'll see how he goes from that outside gate."

Baldwin is also keen to see how I Doubt I Can performs for trainer Kelly Schweida in the Sky Racing World QTIS 2YO Maiden Hcp (1000m).

"I trained her mother (I Can't Wait) and now I'm selling shares in her half-sister so it's a family that I'm keen to follow," Baldwin said.

"She was promising at her debut so I'll be very much cheering for another trainer in that race."

Meanwhile, impressive last-start winner Heart Of Many is on track for a start in a mile race at Eagle Farm on Saturday week. Baldwin said the $50,000 three-year-old race shaped as an ideal target for the improving galloper, which has won twice this campaign.
