Trainer Barry Baldwin says his stable is ready for 2013 with solid hands at the first Queensland meetings of the new year.

Havatryst will be among the runners at the Gold Coast on Tuesday after an uncharacteristic run of outs.

Baldwin says he hopes the son of Foreplay has overcome some recent problems which have plagued him this campaign. He lines up in the Attwood Marshall Lawyers Class 6 Plate (1200m), with Maija Vance to take the ride.

"We all know what Havatryst is capable of but he hasn't been able to put it together this campaign but I think we're on top of his problem," Baldwin said.

The trainer advised stewards at Havatryst's most recent start that he had treated the gelding for a respiratory complaint. On this day last year, Havatryst raced in the Goldmarket Hcp won by Spirit of Boom but Baldwin opted to drop him back to the Class 6 event this year.

Baldwin will also saddle up Athanea, Regal Legend and Good Hunting at the Gold Coast.

"Athanea is resuming after a break and it would pay to forget the last run. She's drawn awkwardly and I'm keen to see how she comes back," Baldwin said.

On Wednesday, Baldwin has five runners engaged at Doomben including Richenza, Annia Faustina, Revacious, Super Sorted and dual acceptor Regal Legend.

Revacious has won two recent trials and has accepted for the same 1350m maiden as Super Sorted while Richenza has paid up for the fillies and mares' 1350m maiden.

The Baldwin stable is sixth on the Brisbane trainers' premiership this season with 13 winners and 12 placings from 84 starters.
