The all female owners of Pandora Charm will be in a party mood and ready to kick up their heels if the filly salutes in her race debut at Doomben on Saturday.

Pandora Charm is owned by a syndicate of nine women, some of whom have had great success over many years as clients of trainer Barry Baldwin.

Other members of the syndicate are daughters of other Baldwin clients who have decided to keep their family tradition going racing horses under the Eagle Farm trainer's care.

Two of the owners are Sally Laing and Nicole Abood, the wife and daughter of former long serving Queensland Turf Club secretary David Laing.

Another part-owner Louise Hallam and Sally Laing shared in the ownership of Baldwin's former G1 Stradbroke Handicap winner La Montagna.

Baldwin is hoping for the best from Pandora Charm who has drawn the outside barrier 10  in the JYE Cooper Group Handicap (1010m).

"She's showing a lot of promise but it's an awkward gate to overcome," Baldwin said.

"I'm hoping she can run a place but realistically she'll come back better next campaign."

Baldwin has two others runners engaged at Doomben but has concerns with the lack of rain for Side To Side in the Entire Recruitment Handicap (1600m) while he gives Run Royal Run an eachway chance in the 3s Lighting Handicap (2000m).

"I'd like to see some rain for Side To Side but we're in the middle of a drought," Baldwin said.

"Run Royal Run is stepping up to 2000 metres for the first time and I'm giving him a chance as Chris Munce feels he's looking for longer."

Side To Side had his second start back from a spell finishing a close fourth over 1400 metres at Caloundra last month while Run Royal Run finished ninth over 1600 metres at Eagle Farm on September 29.

Meanwhile Baldwin was back among the winners at Doomben on Wednesday with Master Carter who fought back strongly to win the Sequalo@Lyndhurst Maiden Handicap (1650m).

Ridden by Chris Munce, Master Carter was having only his fifth start and went on to win by a short neck.

The son of Elvstroem had almost 10 months on the sidelines following his debut at Eagle Farm in November last year.

Mastercarter, a $55,000 buy at the 2010 Magic Millions yearling sales, is raced by a syndicate headed by another loyal Baldwin client Sam Scaffidi-Muta.

"Sam lives in Adelaide but he's been a client of mine for 10 years or more," he said.

"It was a good win from Master Carter but I'll just poke along with him for now and see if he can get further," Baldwin said.
