Glenn Davis October 3 2012 Breeding buffs need to look no further than Barry Baldwin's youngster, Midway, making a good impression in his race debut at Eagle Farm on Saturday. Midway ran a good second in his only barrier trial over 800 metres at Doomben last month and has drawn perfectly in barrier two for the Timeform QTIS Two-year-old Handicap (1000m). Midway is a half brother to stablemate Saraji, a six times winner from 15 starts and a winner of more than $276,000 in prizemoney. The son of Excites is bred in the purple with his grand-dam, the Al Hareb mare Bethany, a producer of ten named foals, of which five have been successful on the racetrack.
